Relevant suggestions for the best mode of operations
-The Company deals with each instruction (vessel) on
an individual basis and on its own merits. With a good
understanding of the Nigerian shipping sector, Covington
has pioneered a novel system of conducting pre-discharge
meetings between all relevant parties before commencement
of discharge in order to ensure transparency and to
a large extent, help avoid frivolous claims by cargo
receivers.
3.
Crises Management -The Company helps to manage
problems that arise out of its duties as correspondents
such as stevedoring problems, repatriations, dealing
and liaising with regulatory authorities, mitigating
loss or damage to cargo and generally assisting Masters
of clients' vessels with unforeseen problems.
4.
Good reporting and Follow-up - The company provides
daily status reports on the progress of each instruction.
Where any problem is anticipated, preliminary advice
is immediately provided to forestall any delays to vessels.
